Executive Advisory

For some career moves, the documents are only part of the picture.

At a more senior level, the real questions often run deeper.
Is this the right move?
What kind of environment will suit the next chapter?
How should this transition be positioned?
What will matter once the new role begins?

Executive Advisory brings an additional layer of strategic perspective to those decisions — helping senior professionals and executives think more clearly about the move itself, not just the documents that support it.

The Executive Lens Behind the Process

Executive Advisory at Top Margin draws on the perspective of Larry Howard, whose commercial and leadership experience adds a broader lens to selected engagements. His role is to expand the executive perspective available within the process where the move ahead carries greater strategic weight.

For those navigating executive transitions, larger leadership responsibilities, or more complex career decisions, that added perspective can be invaluable — particularly when the questions extend beyond writing into judgement, positioning, leadership fit, and commercial reality.

Why Executive Perspective Matters

The higher the level of the move, the less it becomes a simple question of job search.

At that level, professionals are often weighing issues such as:

Leadership Scope · Organisational Fit · Political Environment · Decision-Visibility · Career Trajectory
and influence, credibility, and timing.

These are often broader transition questions about leadership, positioning, timing, credibility, internal dynamics, and how best to step into what comes next. Executive Advisory helps bring greater clarity to those broader considerations, so the work is not only well written but well-positioned.

Who this is for

Executive Advisory is particularly valuable for:

Senior leaders preparing for a significant move · Professionals stepping into broader executive responsibility · Those navigating complex transitions or high-level repositioning · Those weighing which move makes the most strategic sense · Those who would benefit from an added commercial and leadership lens alongside the core Top Margin Method.

This is about knowing when the path ahead justifies calling in broader strategic support.

How it works within the broader process

Executive Advisory is not separate from the Top Margin Method. It extends it.

That means the same core foundation still applies:

Reflection →  Direction →  Evidence →  Narrative →  Execution

What changes is the depth of perspective brought to the process. For the right client, Executive Advisory adds another dimension to the work, ensuring the move is not only well-expressed but well-considered.
